Long Branch Trail opened April 11. Here’s what the Winston-Salem Journal had to say:

Though it’s already been in use for a little while, tomorrow marks the official opening of the Long Branch Trail, the latest completed section of Winston-Salem’s network of greenway trails for walking, running, biking and lollygagging…

The 1.7 mile trail, built through a partnership between the Innovation Quarter, the City of Winston-Salem, the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Rail Division, stretches from Martin Luther King Jr. Drive through the Innovation Quarter and south to Rams Drive, where it meets the Salem Creek Greenway, from which Salem College, Salem Lake, Quarry Park and other points of interest can be accessed.
